Picturesque mountain town at an altitude of 960 meters, built on the step of a ridge that descends from the peaks of Parnassos to the valley of the Pleistos river. It is a passage for Delphi, Itea and Galaxidi, and the ski resorts of Parnassos.

The entrance is dominated by the bust of Georgios Karaiskakis, who destroyed the Turks of Mustafabei in 1821, then the historical clock, the folklore museum, the churches of Panagia, Agios Georgios and Agios Ioannis.
Nearby is the ancient cave Korykeio cave or Sarantavli with rich stalactite and stalagmite decoration. Excavations in 1971 revealed numerous votive offerings from archaic and classical times, including statues of Pan and Oak Nymphs.
At 10 km from Arachova in the direction of the ski center we will find Livadi, a huge plateau with wooden houses, taverns with delicious grilled meat and appetizing cooked dishes and all day bars.
Parnassos is the largest ski resort in the country with 23 slopes (some certified by the International Ski Federation for racing) with a total length of 34 km suitable for novice as well as experienced skiers. It has a chalet, restaurant, bar, ski – snowboard school, ski – snowboard equipment rental shop.
